In celebration of the 30th anniversary of the first exhibition of the Mitki Art Association, Gallery Vellum is hosting the project "Aphorisms. Kozma Prutkov." The expibition brings together more than 40 works inspired by the now legendary literary character. The "urban folklore" associated with the philosophy of Mitkov will be prominently presented.
The continuing creativity of the 1980s-ish naivety mutated into the joy of everyday life, it's a central motif of the St. Petersburg Association that dons sailor suits and profess to be so good natured. The musical creativity will also play a role at the opening of the exhibition, when the group performs a concert in conjunction with the artistic unveiling.
Some participants of this anniversary include; Participants: Dmitry Shagin, Vasily Golubev, Alexander Bushuev, Irina Vasilyeva, Victor Tikhomirov, Cyril Miller, Andrey Kuzmin, Andrey Kuznetsov, Tatiana Shagin, and Nikolay Vasilyev, just to name a few.
